Amie joined the research group in 2009 bringing expertise in animal care and various in vivo research models. She is a qualified Veterinary Technologist completing her diploma with distinction at St. Lawrence College, and receiving the Schering-Plough Animal Health Merit award for highest academic standing. Amie is also a Registered Veterinary Technician with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians as well as a Registered Laboratory Animal Technician with the Canadian Association of Laboratory Animal Science. Her current interests focus on sepsis and how various inflammatory genes affect mortality.
